These past weeks I've been doing a lot of canning and freezing. It's a lot of work but it's worth it when it comes to the grocery bill!
This is one of the shelves in the basement. So far I've done: peaches, pickles, tomato soup, tomatoes, plums, corn, beans, peppers.

The corn patch was abundant this year! One day we did over 500 cobs and another day about 200. The boys were very helpful as you can see.
Of course we had to sample the cobs to make sure they were good.
And then a bike ride.
Next is the applesauce.
And some more tomatoes.
And the rest of the plums.
Of course there's also the saurkraut. Oh stop already!
