We have been blessed many times over these past couple weeks, since Jims heart attack. It came at a time of the year when we are gearing up for the Christmas season and when you own a Christmas tree farm, that means there is lots to do. Tom drove up to Clam Lake for us to get my trailer of boughs for wreath making and Dave made a trip down to Westfield to pick up the baler. Butch, Dave and Mike helped Jim put his processor back together. And many others including our girls and their husbands have stepped in to help us out when we've needed it. Every one of you have blessed us and we thank you.
This past weekend we needed to cut and bale 300 trees to fill orders we've received. On Saturday morning about 15 people showed up to get the job done for us.

Tom and Andy started out by cutting trees down.
Mark ran the other saw and Jim helped for awhile until he tired out.

These three were real troopers. They hung in there both days and although it looks like they're goofing off, they really worked hard. Don't you love the jackets Tabby and Joni are wearing?
Of course we had Tyler and Alex out there with us. They helped as much as kindergarten boys can help which consisted mainly of falling down and laying on the trees.
Time to get the baler running. These guys were a great help. We needed their mechanical skills along with their manpower because the baler broke down several times.
Matt and Nick were fascinated with how the baler worked. After that they were off to pretend they were bears hiding in the trees.
Ahhhhhhhhhh lunch time. All you have to do is ask our moms to take charge of the food and nobody goes hungry! Chicken dumpling soup, BBQ's and lots of goodies.
