Birthday Cake

Today is a very special birthday so I made a very special birthday cake. It is a new recipe I've been wanting to try but needed an occasion. And today is that occasion. It turned out nice although the flavor remains a secret, only to be known to the ones who get to eat a piece.

And then we did this to it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

Thanks Deb for the nice social time with family- and your lovely yummy meal. Tell Hannah her salad dressing was the best!!Those candles really smoked, I thought Jim had to get the fire extinguisher for a while. OH, yes, the cake was Root Beer Float Cake--another blue ribbon coming up. Thanks again- love you- Mom

I love the candlestraws. My husband's birthday is Feb. 25. Wish I'd seen this post before so we could have used candlestraws. The cake looks and sounds good. Hope you had a great time.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Glad to meet a fellow Wisconsite. Birds of a feather should flock together.
